Not everyone should be targeted as a candidate for network marketing!  When you are looking to grow your business, look for ideal customers by identifying the appropriate niche and look for business-minded prospects that wish to join you in your business opportunity.

When creating an ad, flyer, or other form of advertisement, create a distinct marketing campaign for each niche audience and see which performs the best.

When you are looking to target specific groups of people to make them your customers, keep these statistics and facts in mind:

    • Women make more than 83% of customer buying decisions and purchases.
    • 1 out of every 11 adult women are entrepreneurs (high quality prospects).
    • Women account for 70% of all new business start-ups.
    • Women use the internet more than men.
  2. Race
    • Minority teens are more interested in starting a business than whites.

  3. Age
    • The fastest growing age group in direct-sales is 65 year olds.
    • Seniors pay-out  more than #1.7 trillion a year as customers.
  4. Geography
    • Western US has the highest self-employment rates.
    • About 55% of sale-proprietorships were concentrated in the 10 most populated states.
  5. Seasons and Special Occasions
    • Time your marketing with special occasions.
    • Plan big sales according to your product’s category.
    • Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are three big holidays to plan specials for.
  • Tactic 5:  Seeking Business-Minded Distributors
    • Nearly 2/3 of Americans are aspiring entrepreneurs, so you should have no shortage when it comes to finding some!
    • Seek candidates:
      1. With a consistent positive outlook
      2. Who have connections to reach others
      3. Who show they believe in themselves
      4. Who have business experience
      5. Who are decisive and willing to take action
      6. Who will commit to your program for 6 months to a year.

  1. Identify publications they actively read.
  2. Find the associations they want to join or already belong to.

Chapter 1 of Guerrilla Multilevel Marketing 100 Low-Cost Tactics For Growing Your Network And Advancing To The Top Of Your Pay Plan was called “Why Guerrilla Marketing”.  This chapter was dedicated to telling you exactly why you should invest your time and money into the Guerrilla Marketing books, systems, and tactics.  The book started off with the quote, “You don’t know what you don’t know”.  The quote meant that people do not need to have a business background to succeed in network marketing and anyone is capable of succeeding if they are willing to learn and develop.  Most do not know this and have a lack of confidence, so 90% quit their first year.

Chapter 18 of The 45 Second Presentation That Will Change Your Life by Don Failla was called “Let The Tools Do The Talking”.  Roughly 5% of the population are the “sales type”.  If you are looking for one of those “sales types”, then you are wasting your time because there are too few of them.  You are not selling products, you are selling something called “own your life” where you have enough time and money to do what you want to do.  You have to realize that 95% of people NEED this!  People who are not in network marketing DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT!

THE SYSTEM

If you can show somebody how they can sponsor somebody in the first couple days of the business to make a profit, they will get excited and want to do it again.  If you want to make a PERSON-TO-PERSON approach, try to keep it to your warm market.  You want to start this process once you are LEAVING a restaurant or other meeting area with your friend or family member.  Ask, “Hey__________, you might be able to help me out.  DO you know anyone who likes to travel and go on vacation?”  The response to this is typically a “yes”.  Then say, “__________, it takes three things to do that.  It takes time, money, and good health.  If I could show YOU how you could have all three, would you be interested?”

If you are trying a TELEPHONE approach, start the process JUST BEFORE HANGING UP.  Ask them, “________, have you ever thought what it would be like if you could own your life?”  Once you do this, tell them what you mean by owning your life.  Then tell them, “We have discovered a way a person can do this and learn to own their lives by building home-based businesses and we have a system for doing it that is so simple, anyone can do it.  It doesn’t require any selling, and won’t take much of your time.”  “If someone is interested, I will give you some information.”

These approaches start off indirect, which takes the pressure off of the prospect.  Once they are starting to get more interested and more comfortable with the situation and opportunity, you can switch the direct more towards them to see if they are interested in learning more about your opportunity.  This is a highly effective way to get more quality leads and sponsor more people into your business.

Wednesday Night Webinar With Mark Harbert (Facebook Ads)

Tonight’s free webinar in MLSP was hosted by Mark Harbert.  The area of focus that he covered was Facebook ads with video.  He asked, “Why video ads?” at the beginning of the webinar and he is a firm believer that there is no better lead than a lead that sees your face first, and then chooses to opt in to your offer.  Video converts better than any other medium because it breaks down barriers that most prospects have!

  • When you are making a video and trying to figure out how to place the ad, you want to keep these questions in mind:
    1. Who is your target market?
    2. What does your target market want?
    3. Do you have a product that fulfills a need?
    4. Where does your target hangout? What pages?

When you are creating a video, your video must be short and impactful.  This means that you want to maximize your content while keeping it shorter than three minutes.  Once you record the video, you want to make sure to at least do some basic editing.  You will want to add professional elements, such as a video intro and a lower third.  When possible, do your videos in high definition, add some background music, be in a clean area, and JUST BE YOURSELF.  You can do this by going to Splasheo.com

  • There are three parts to creating a good video.
    1. Intro – Always state your name, location and ask a question i.e. “Are you struggling with leads?”
    2. Content – You want to hit on the pain points of your target market.
      • Use “home-business” instead of “MLM” or “network marketing” to avoid issues with Facebook.
      • DO NOT script your videos!
    3. Call To Action – Send them to your website, etc.
      • Ask them to go to your site, then connect with you on Facebook.

Tuesday Night Webinar With MLSP

The main leader of tonight’s webinar in the MLSP community was Lena Bjorna.  The topics of the night were leadership and credibility.  Various leaders were on the call tonight and shared their stories and provided several tips, but they all lead back to the main two topics.  One leader did most of his business through Facebook.  He suggested that you find quality leads, interact with them over time, send them a friend request, and let them see the value that you can provide.  Another leader did his prospecting through video ads.  He suggested that you make a video of some form of valuable training that you found within MLSP, create a capture page for it, and send out a targeted video ad to your prospects.   The last leader was a woman that also worked with Facebook and video advertisement and she believed in providing prospects with tons of free value.  All of the leaders within this webinar stressed that you must create a quality list and continue to build it on a daily basis.
