Chapter 2 of Guerrilla Multilevel Marketing: 100 Low-Cost Tactics For Growing Your Network And Advancing To The Top Of Your Pay Plan by Jay Levinson was called “Understanding Strategy and Tactics”.  This chapter was based on helping you decide when and how you should work on building your business.  The first thing that the is mentioned is that you need to learn how to work “on” you business, not “in” your business.  This makes a huge difference in your mindset and strategy.  If you are working “in” you business, then that means you are being controlled by the business and others instead of being your own boss and working for yourself.  If you are working “on” your business, then you are in control and managing YOUR distributors and customers.

When you are working on you business, schedule a couple of hours a week where you strategize your growth.  Here is a basic example of the suggested areas to invest at least 1 hour a week strategizing:

• Your own personal growth and ongoing training.
• How you interact with prospects.
• How you interact with customers.
• How you interact with distributors.
• How you follow-up.
• How you train others.
• Your customer service procedures.

Wednesday Night Webinar With Mark Harbert (Facebook Ads)

Tonight’s free webinar in MLSP was hosted by Mark Harbert.  The area of focus that he covered was Facebook ads with video.  He asked, “Why video ads?” at the beginning of the webinar and he is a firm believer that there is no better lead than a lead that sees your face first, and then chooses to opt in to your offer.  Video converts better than any other medium because it breaks down barriers that most prospects have!

• When you are making a video and trying to figure out how to place the ad, you want to keep these questions in mind:
  1. Who is your target market?
  2. What does your target market want?
  3. Do you have a product that fulfills a need?
  4. Where does your target hangout? What pages?

When you are creating a video, your video must be short and impactful.  This means that you want to maximize your content while keeping it shorter than three minutes.  Once you record the video, you want to make sure to at least do some basic editing.  You will want to add professional elements, such as a video intro and a lower third.  When possible, do your videos in high definition, add some background music, be in a clean area, and JUST BE YOURSELF.  You can do this by going to Splasheo.com

• There are three parts to creating a good video.
  1. Intro – Always state your name, location and ask a question i.e. “Are you struggling with leads?”
  2. Content – You want to hit on the pain points of your target market.
     • Use “home-business” instead of “MLM” or “network marketing” to avoid issues with Facebook.
     • DO NOT script your videos!
  3. Call To Action – Send them to your website, etc.
     • Ask them to go to your site, then connect with you on Facebook.

Tuesday Night Webinar With MLSP

The main leader of tonight’s webinar in the MLSP community was Lena Bjorna.  The topics of the night were leadership and credibility.  Various leaders were on the call tonight and shared their stories and provided several tips, but they all lead back to the main two topics.  One leader did most of his business through Facebook.  He suggested that you find quality leads, interact with them over time, send them a friend request, and let them see the value that you can provide.  Another leader did his prospecting through video ads.  He suggested that you make a video of some form of valuable training that you found within MLSP, create a capture page for it, and send out a targeted video ad to your prospects.   The last leader was a woman that also worked with Facebook and video advertisement and she believed in providing prospects with tons of free value.  All of the leaders within this webinar stressed that you must create a quality list and continue to build it on a daily basis.

Chapter 10 Review Of The 45 Second Presentation That Will Change Your Life

Chapter 10 of The 45 Second Presentation That Will Change Your Life was called “Napkin Presentation #9: Motivation and Attitude”.  Chapter 9 was relatively short, but contained valuable information that will determine whether or not your business will grow.  This chapter wanted to inform the readers how your emotions affect your outcome, growth, and how you view your business over time.

In this chapter, Don refers to the first form of motivation as down motivation.  Down motivation is when you or the people you have sponsored get really hyped up and they hit a low point in their business.  Once this happens, depression usually follows it and that is bad for the individual and the business.  The constant flux with emotions will lead to the person being unsuccessful and ultimately quitting the business.  The second type of motivation referred to in the book is up motivation.  Up motivation is characterized by having a constant emotion regardless of the outcome or situation that you are in.  This type of motivation is what ALL of the leaders within the business have because they know how the business works and that they will be successful in time.  The more up motivation that there is, the more excited the upline will become and you will receive more support.

Wednesday Night Webinar With The Inventor Of MLSP!

Tonight’s webinar by Brian was all about the Live The Dream event that will be occurring soon.  Brian just wanted to provide various tips on how to make the most out of live events and why you should attend them.  When you attend large live events, you get to meet with the biggest names in the business and you get to interact with them.  Whenever you get a chance, you NEED to attend a live event because they will change you business and your life.  Make sure when you walk away from the event, you have at least 10 names, numbers, and emails of successful people in the room to build your network and connections.  Also, when you attend these events, do your best to get your team there so that you can experience it together!

Make it a goal to get pictures and videos with well-known people within the business.  This will build the credentials of you just by being associated with them.  Come in with an open mind and leave your ego at the door because you are there to learn from the best.  Buy the top-earners some drinks and get to know them better because you do not know what information they will give you that they normally charge for!  If somebody is being mean and nasty, thank them for their time, get up, and leave because you do not need the negative atmosphere.  Play full out when you go and bring plenty of energy!  Make sure you do not go asleep until everyone else is asleep because a lot of valuable information is leaked in the late hours of the night.
